Automate preparation, not responsibility
AI can help summarize information, classify records, prepare a first draft, organize research, and route work. Those tasks can reduce friction. Decisions with legal, financial, reputational, or relationship consequences still need responsible human review.
Preserve the human moments
Clients notice whether the firm understood them, responded clearly, and exercised judgment. Use automation to improve the preparation for those moments rather than replacing the moments themselves.
Make outputs inspectable
The person using an AI-assisted workflow should be able to see the source material, review the generated result, edit it, and understand what will happen next. Black-box automation is especially risky when context matters.
Measure time returned
The business case for AI is not that it exists. Measure the hours saved, the reduction in missed follow-up, the improvement in response time, or the increase in consistency. If the workflow does not create a useful operational gain, simplify it.
